Oct 22 So... Whats new?

Since its been over a year since my last meaningful post, I thought I’d share some things that are new in my life.

Last year I purchased a Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. Despite its low engine capacity and no thrills speed (this is not a bad thing) its a fantastic machine and enjoy every ride on it. Its no longer “stock” in appearance. I’ve made some alterations to make it look, how I want it to look. Most likely it will change again but here is a before and after.

I’ve since added the taller screen on again. In the colder weather, the wind deflection of the taller screen is a must have!

I might actually start a photo series from the bike and the places I go… I’ll give that some thought.

We clearly weren’t thinking straight

At the start of the year, we lost our 14year old dog Bobby. I wrote a post last may about him, we thought the end may have been near then, but he managed to carry on another 6 months. Me and my wife thought we’d leave it a year before even thinking about another dog…. But 5 weeks later Kacey arrived with us, a little 8 week old Cockerdor… These names of dogs are getting daft, but she is a Labrador/cocker spaniel cross. To say we underestimated having a puppy again, is a huge understatement! But she’s lovely for the most part. Bat shit crazy but lovely.

So as you can see, there isn’t a lot “new”. Just the usual things life throws at you. Ups and Downs but thats life right.

We had a nice little family break in Dorset with the dog, our daughter turned 10! Our son at 14 is almost as tall as me! Where does the time go? One minute they are entirely dependant on you, then they are as big and giving attitude. Life right!
